RE: Solicitation of Nominations to fill a vacancy on the Bingo Advisory Committee
At the August 16, 2023, meeting of the Texas Lottery Commission (Commission), the Commission directed me to start the process required for a Commission appointment of a new Bingo Advisory Committee (BAC) member to represent licensed manufacturers.
At this time, the Commission is soliciting nominations of persons to fill the vacancy to serve on the BAC.
If you are seeking to nominate yourself or another individual to fill the vacancy, please complete the nomination form and submit the completed form to the Charitable Bingo Operations Division by 5PM central standard time on November 20, 2023, using one of the submission methods indicated on the form.
Please note that each nominee must meet the minimum eligibility requirements stated in Texas Bingo Rule §402.102, as well as the criminal history standards in the Bingo Enabling Act §§2001.105(b), 2002.154(a)(1),2001.202(1), 2001.207(1), and Texas Bingo Rule §402.102. Specifically, the Commission may not appoint a nominee who has a previous conviction for criminal fraud (Texas Penal Code Chapters 32 and 35) or a gambling or gambling-related offense.
