On March 2, 2021, Governor Abbott issued Executive Order GA-34 relating to the continued response to the COVID-19 disaster. Effective March 10, 2021, bingo halls may operate at 100% of their total listed occupancy, except that bingo halls located in “areas with high hospitalizations” may be subject to COVID-19-related mitigation strategies which may restrict occupancy up to 50%. For a current list of “areas with high hospitalizations” (any Trauma Service Area that has had seven consecutive days in which the number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients as a percentage of total hospital capacity exceeds 15 percent), see www.dshs.texas.gov/ga3031/

Under Order GA-34, businesses and other establishments may require employees or customers to follow additional hygiene measures, including the wearing of a face covering.
